Pantsil may miss rest of campaign
Fulham's John Pantsil could miss the rest of the season after injuring his knee against Chelsea.
The Ghana international twisted his knee during Monday's 2-1 defeat at Chelsea and had to be substituted midway through the second half.
Fulham manager Roy Hodgson fears Pantsil's season could now be over and that will come as a blow to the West London outfit and the player.
Pantsil was due to leave for the African Nations Cup next month and Fulham will await results of a scan before giving him the nod to join his compatriots.
FIT ENOUGH
"Whether John goes to the African Nations Cup depends on what his scan results are and how long he'll be out the game for," said Hodgson.
"We'll scan him here because at the moment his knee is sufficiently bad that we wouldn't want to put him on a flight.
"When he's fit enough to travel for Ghana to look at him he's welcome to go. We're not trying to keep him out of the African Nations Cup.
"I'm more concerned that he will miss the rest of the season because I always fear the worst when players twist their knees."

Zamora Injury
Following Tuesday night's match in Stoke, Manager Roy Hodgson revealed that in-form striker Bobby Zamora suffered a possible dislocation at the Britannia Stadium.
“It’s bad and it looks like a dislocation," said Hodgson of Zamora's injury. "I don’t know at this point whether it’s his collarbone or shoulder but either way it’s a bad injury and an expensive day for us.
“We were forced to replace Hangeland at half-time due to a reoccurrence of his injury and we lost Zamora early in the second half and we’ve lost the game. It’s a very expensive game for us.
“Andy Johnson dislocated his collar bone and he made a swift recovery and was back on the field in three weeks.
"Having said that, for the injury to heal fully it takes longer because as a forward you’re always being buffeted around and you can’t protect it as well as you would like.
“It’s certainly not a short-term injury and I can only hope that the prognosis is not too bad.
"We’ve been unlucky. We lost Pantsil to a cruciate knee ligament injury in the last League game and now we’ve lost Zamora in this one.
"We’re not being fortunate on the injury front this season."

Hangeland se resintió de su lesión de rodilla en el partido de ayer frente al Stoke.

- Konchesky se retiró lesionado en el tobillo en el partido vs rovers.
- Dempsey se tuvo que retirar del partido de Ewood Park por una lesión en el ligamento de la rodilla, se conocerá el alcance de dicha lesión mañana cuando le hagan una ecografía...
Pinta mal lo de Clint , a Konchesky le puede suplir bien Kallio, pero Dempsey es primordial para nosotros sobretodo estando Zamora de baja...

El delantero del Fulham Bobby Zamora se ha roto la pierna en la victoria del conjunto londinense (2-1) ante el Wolverhampton Wanderers y se espera que, como mínimo, esté de baja unos cuatro meses, según informó la entidad londinense.
"Zamora tendrá una operación mañana, pero se ha roto la pierna y estará fuera de los terrenos de juego mínimo unos cuatro meses, aunque podría ser más, es una gran pérdida para nosotros", indicó el entrenador Mark Hughes tras el partido.
Cuando se llevaban 27 minutos de encuentro, el ariete chocó con el centrocampista rival Henry Karl y tuvo que abandonar el terreno de juego en camilla. El internacional inglés ya se perdió el Mundial de Sudáfrica por una lesión en el talón de Aquiles.
