Javier Hernandez has capped a phenomenal debut season for United by scooping the prestigious Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year Award.

The accolade is voted for by fans across the world on the club’s official websites and honours United’s best player in the 2010/11 campaign.

Chicharito, who has scored 20 goals this term to help the Reds win the Barclays Premier League and reach the Champions League final, was presented with the trophy at a glittering gala dinner at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

He picked up 21% of the votes to pip Nani (20%) into second place, with skipper Nemanja Vidic (16%) competing the top three.

The Mexican becomes the sixth player to receive the award at the end of his first campaign for the Reds, following Brian McClair (the inaugural winner in 1988), Gary Pallister (1990), Ruud van Nistelrooy (2002), Cristiano Ronaldo (2004) and Gabriel Heinze (2005).

Nani has topped his outstanding season by taking home the Players’ Player of the Year prize from the official Manchester United awards night on Wednesday.

In a further nod to a remarkable campaign, the Reds' winger was voted second in the poll for the historic Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award - just one per cent behind eventual winner Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez.

These achievements cap a wonderful year for Nani, in which the Portuguese international scored 10 goals and assisted a further 18 to help United reclaim the Barclays Premier League title and reach a third Champions League final in four years.

Mis conclusiones son las siguientes.

Los premios tanto de la Academy como de los reservas estan bien dados, aunque me sorprende que no se lo hayan dado a Pogba, probablemente para que no se le suba la tonteria a la cabeza al crio, porque no creo que Tunnicliffe sea mejor que Pogba.

El mejor gol no hay color y no hay que decir nada, solamente verlo una y otra vez porque es el mejor gol de la temporada, asi que

El premio Matt Busby, pues como es la primera temporada, el impacto producido, cae bien porque se le ve buena gente(como dicen en RoM "fucking adorable" ), pues se lo han dado a Chicharito. Nada que objetar., aunque si se lo hubieran dado a VDS tampoco hubiera pasado nada.

Y el jugador del año, pues estaba bajo mi punto de vista en 4 jugadores, Berba por ser el maximo goleador de la Premier. Vidic, capitan del equipo y le da igual que tenga de pareja de central a Rio, Evans, Smalling, Brown u O´Shea que el siempre cumple. VDS, las veces que nos ha salvado puntos ya ni me acuerdo, para mi el mejor portero que hay, el mas completo de todos; y Nani, por sus goles y asistencias, a pesar de que este tramo final de temporada no esta entrando en los planes de inicio.
Creo que el premio es justo, un tio que interviene directa o indirectamente en 28 goles de un equipo son suficientes argumentos para ser nombrado jugador del año, no lo olvidemos, por sus propios compañeros.

Yo creo que todos los premios están bien repartidos.

Creo que los aficionados votaron mal el mejor jugador de la temporada para mi ha sido Van Der Sar, simplemente ha estado en un nivel superior toda la temporada, lo mismo que vidic alguno de ellos 2 merecia mas el premio que el Chicharito, lamentablemente esto es un concurso de popularidad y el Mexicano tiene mucho mas carisma que los otros 2
